Learn how to get Realtor Zillow Reviews and show up online. Winning at Zillow doesn’t have to cost money and your online presence is more important than ever.

In one of our regular team meetings, all of the coaches here at Icenhower Coaching and Consulting had a great discussion about Realtor Zillow reviews. Many real estate agents do not realize the benefits that Zillow may provide. I think a lot of that is just the fear and the stigma of Zillow. Many agents are afraid that Zillow is taking over their jobs. Zillow is a big player in the real estate game. So, you must learn how to play the game with Zillow instead of fighting it. It isn’t going away. How can Zillow help you in your real estate business?

VIDEO: How to Get Realtor Zillow Reviews to Work for Your Business

Maximizing your business through Realtor Zillow reviews

Go to Zillow.com. Go to the “Agents” tab and type in your location. Nine out of ten people do this when they go to Zillow. They type in the area — they don’t type in an agent name. Zillow will pull up ratings of different agents based on reviews, recent sales reported, and number of listings. You will also see a highlight of a review that someone has written about each agent. Much like a Google search, you want your name to appear on the first page of the location search — and the closer to the top, the better.

As you know, Zillow gets a lot of traffic. Not only by people looking to buy or sell, but Zillow has also become a major source for agents to look for other agents to send referrals to. This agent finder feature makes it so easy to research real estate agents.

Search for yourself

See how you rank in Realtor Zillow reviews! Type in your city first to see where you stand. Then, narrow it based on your neighborhood or part of town. Take note of the agents ahead of you and behind you in the rankings. Know which page you land on right now. This is all important information for you to know. If you need to improve your ranking, see how many reviews you would need to get to climb up the rankings.

Now, let’s discuss three easy things you can do to help yourself climb in Zillow’s rankings.

1. Get more reviews

You need local reviews. This is something you can be asking for throughout a transaction, and after closing, too. Add it to your listing and closing checklists! You have to keep asking, and keep asking. Persistence is key! Realtor Zillow reviews are tough to fake. To submit a review, the client needs to verify which listing they purchased or sold.

One helpful idea for getting past clients to submit reviews is to host a client event. You can make it so easy for your clients to write up a quick review. “Hey, we’re so happy to have you here! If you have a moment, we have a laptop over here on this table, and we would love to have your five-star review. We’re having a raffle for everyone that reviews us tonight!” This is a great way to rack up a lot of reviews, and quickly.

2. Claim your recent sales

Claiming your recent sales will also give you a boost in the Realtor Zillow reviews rankings. If it’s not already, this should be a part of your closing checklist! Go on Zillow and claim each of your sales and ensure that you get credit for this sale. This does not automatically happen, unless your brokerage does it for you.

3. Claim your current listings

This is another easy thing that can be a part of your listing checklist. Go on to Zillow and make sure that you claim your listings! This is very important for agent referrals, too. Other agents can see how many listings you have and how active you are. If someone looks at your profile and they see zero listings, they may assume that you are no longer a practicing real estate agent.

Action steps

Make it a goal for the rest of 2020 to get your Realtor Zillow reviews up! By systematically asking for reviews from your clients, claiming your recent sales, and claiming your listings, you’ll see a difference. You will climb in the ranks, and this increases your chance significantly of getting referrals from other agents, as well as business from online leads.
