Networking events usually consist of professionals from other industries meeting and making connections. However, with a real estate conference, attendees will be around agents, brokers, and other professionals within the industry. It may not seem valuable to meet other agents from other markets, but savvy real estate agents will capitalize on the opportunities.

Learning From Experience

Aside from the speakers at an event, there are plenty of opportunities to pick the brains of other attendees. You would be amazed at the nuggets of wisdom one can obtain just from a casual conversation with experienced real estate agents. Additionally, other agents can offer a unique perspective on how they approach prospects.

Whether it’s a fun way to prospect for listings or a cool team contest they run, the learning stretches beyond the breakout rooms.

Growing Your Contact List

There is no such thing as a vendor list or contact list that is too big. Real estate networking events make it easy to engage with a variety of different professionals that can add value. For example, if your current CRM isn’t meeting all of your needs, you can meet a rep who can solve your problems. Or perhaps you want to provide better closing gifts to your clients. Plus, if you use their services and provide them with both business and referrals, you can build strong professional relationships.

The same can be said for out-of-state real estate agents. Making connections with agents from all over the country is a great way to give (and receive) referrals. You will be hard-pressed to find a better opportunity to network with real estate agents than at a conference.

When an agent is in the middle of their busy season, it’s easy to get bogged down and hyper focus on closing deals. A real estate conference is a great environment to just be yourself. Instead of worrying about scheduling your next listing appointment or showing homes, you can relax, listen, learn, and make new friends.
