Home buyer script: don’t try to “time the market”

If you’re trying to time it, it makes no sense. If you’re waiting for prices to go up, well, the house you’re going to buy will go up, and you’ll be sitting at that new price and that new mortgage payment for the next 30 years. 

And if you’re waiting for prices to go down, well, the house you’re selling will decrease in value, too. You’ll get less out of your own home. 

Think back to all the homes you’ve owned. I can’t remember how I did with each one. And if I did really well with one because I sold it at the top of the market, well, then I have to consider the home that I purchased. Oh, I guess I did buy that at the top of the market. So I probably didn’t make as much as I felt like I did. 

It doesn’t matter. Anyone who tries to time the market needs education. The time to buy is now, not later. This is an essential home buyer script that you must learn and use with your clients.

It all comes out in the wash. Buy when you want to. Sell when you want to. As soon as possible!

Home buyer script: do not advise clients to wait

This makes me ill. 

Nobody can time the market. Even the professionals. If someone is telling you that they know the market will turn one way or the other, they simply don’t. If they say they have timed it before, they are either lying or they are incredibly lucky.
